They prey on people’s emotions, generosity and naivety. Keeping your donations local helps to insure the naivety part is eliminated (people know where their local dog catcher takes their charges and/or where you go to adopt a pet). Donate your money to help your local animal welfare instead of the welfare of charlatans with a bank account.KT and Eastonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05456498552956580863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3337217613649286961.post-70315610129135426412010-05-26T09:11:11.925-07:002010-05-26T09:11:11.925-07:00Thank you for this post. They completely disguise themselves as do-gooders who only want what's best for animals. They spread their message about animal rights but nothing about animal welfare, which is to prevent suffering and cruelty to animals I wish everyone who donates to the HSUS would realize that they're not giving money to a shelter, but to an organization who only wants to spread the message about why owning pets is so cruel. The HSUS is truly PETA in a suit.Whitney and the Preppy Puppieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09079938944940970188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3337217613649286961.post-81648987164588841342010-05-25T21:00:30.119-07:002010-05-25T21:00:30.119-07:00I think your "About Me" description says...I think your "About Me" description says it all... You are interested in the "animal industry". Just using lives like little ol' commodities - I thought that notion was "gone with the wind"!<br />The animal rights advocates really do have it correct. Regarding our professed "love" of animals: There's one heck of a dissonant ethical hole to dig ourselves out of.Bea Elliotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13981537551810309024noreply@blogger.com
